Del Zoppo is now CEO of New Hotel Collection, which owns four hotels — three in Pinellas County and the other on the outskirts of Great Smoky Mountains National Park in Tennessee. He is also managing partner at TDZ Capital Partners, the private equity arm of the hospitality business.
Hodges and Del Zoppo are as busy as ever with the expansion at the Cordova Inn in downtown St. Petersburg. The historic property is expanding from 32 rooms to 97.
He spoke with the Tampa Bay Business Journal about his Wall Street career, Florida’s tourism scene and what he looks for in potential property acquisitions.
